Meet Dr. Carlo
Dr. Sylvester Carlo is passionate about serving his community and providing confidence in teens and adults through smiles. Seeing patients accomplish their goals has been one of the most rewarding parts of his career as an orthodontist.
Getting to know his patients and learning more about their life is something Dr. Carlo loves when treating patients. He enjoys sharing his own professional journey with patients while learning more about the amazing things his patients are involved with.
Education and Experience
Dr. Carlo has been a practicing orthodontist for more than 20 years and knew from a young age that creating beautiful smiles was in his future. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh. Continuing at the University of Pittsburgh, he completed his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry, followed by an orthodontic residency at Howard University.
Following his formal education, Dr. Carlo has completed many hours of continuing education, honing his skills and expanding his knowledge in all areas of orthodontics. He is a member of several professional organizations, including:
- National Dental Association
- American Dental Association
- Georgia Dental Association
- American Association of Orthodontists
Outside the Office
Dr. Carlo is a proud husband and father. In addition to spending time with family, when not working, Dr. Carlo is an avid baseball, football, and basketball fan. He also loves coaching his local baseball team and mentors the youth in and around Henry, Muscogee, and Troup counties.
